Nurture Kids is an initiative by Sport Singapore to help preschoolers grow up healthy, strong and resilient through exercise and movement. Together with early childhood educators, we strive to provide equal opportunities for all young children to have an active and healthy start in life.

The Nurture Kids Programme is 12 weeks long and it supports preschools with the programme curriculum and additional resources such as videos, with an emphasis on the professional development of early childhood educators through workshops and partnering of a Nurture Kids Programme trainer from SportSG.  

The next programme intake is in July 2023 and registration will open in May 2023. Prior to the programme, educators are required to attend the 4-hour Nurture Kids Preparation Workshop scheduled in June 2023, where educators will learn about non-linear pedagogy and movement concepts.

The Nurture Kids programme is currently designed for preschoolers aged 5 – 6 years.

Partnering preschools for their parent engagement efforts, Active Parents has a suite of parent-child physical fitness related video resources. These guided workouts are specially designed for both parent and children to participate meaningfully and to further enhance the bonding through play and physical activities.

Besides the video resources, we are also open to discussing ideas from the preschools to further engage the parents.

These are currently offered at no cost to preschools.
