26 Team Singapore Para Athletes Selected for 2023 ASEAN Para Games!

The Singapore National Paralympic Council (SNPC) is sending a contingent of 26 Team athletes to compete, at the 12th ASEAN Para Games in Phnom Penh, Cambodia from 3-9 June. 

• Team Singapore athletes will take part in six (6) para sports
• Three (3) para athletes will make their ASEAN Para Games debut
• SNPC Board member, Erynne Lim, and Boccia player, Toh Sze Ning, will lead the contingent as Chef
  de Mission and flagbearer respectively.

This is the first time that the kingdom will be hosting the ASEAN Para Games (APG), which will take place a few weeks after the SEA Games. It will be featuring 13 sports, and e-sports as a demonstration. TeamSG will take part in six (6) sports, namely Athletics, Badminton, Boccia, Powerlifting, Swimming and Table Tennis.

The last edition of the biennial event was the 11th APG in Solo, Indonesia, held in August 2022. It saw our Team Singapore athletes winning a total of 28 medals – 7 gold, 9 silver, and 12 bronzes. The contingent will be led by Chef de Mission, Erynne Lim, Board Member of SNPC.

“It is a great honour to lead our athletes at the ASEAN Para Games. I would like to congratulate the athletes on their selection and am confident that they will fly the Singapore flag high. I wish them all the best as they enter the final stage of preparations for the Games,” said Erynne. Boccia player, Toh Sze Ning, who won a silver medal in the Individual Female BC3 and a gold medal in the Mixed Pair BC3 categories at the 11th APG, has been appointed as the flagbearer.

“This will be my fifth time representing Singapore at the ASEAN Para Games and I am very happy and honoured to be selected as the flagbearer. I will continue to do my best and hope to bring glory to Singapore again and make Singaporeans proud," said Sze Ning.
