NSG 2023 Softball : ACJC defeat Dunman High School to Lift A Division Trophy!

In the 2023 Girls' A Division Softball competition of the National School Games (NSG), 7 teams began their preliminary round-robin matches on 26 April. And after 3 weeks of competing, Raffles Institution (RI) finished at the top of the table standings with 12 points, after a 6-match winning streak. Dunman High School (DHS) were close behind with 11 points, Anglo-Chinese Junior College (ACJC) were in 3rd spot and River Valley High School (RVH) completed the top 4 teams. 

Onto the semi-finals, defending champions RI took on the Dunmanians and it was the latter taking home the 1-0 victory. Meanwhile, ACJC defeated RVH 7-6 in the 1st playoff. The ACSians advanced to meet Raffles Institution in the 2nd playoff, where ACJC prevailed 6-5 to reach the grand final. The stage was then set at River Valley High School, for the clash between ACJC and Dunman High School on 24 May. Final Score : Dunman High School 0-4 Anglo-Chinese Junior College. Despite the 4-3 loss to the Dunmanians and the 11-6 defeat by RI in the opening 2 round-robin matches, ACJC rebounded to finish 3rd in the prelim stage. And the ACSians who're led by captain Samantha Chan, had to battle against RVH and RI in the playoffs, in order to reach the finals. And the rest is history.
