SEA Games 2025: Day 9 mid-day update

It is Day 9 of the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand. 

Here’s a snapshot of Team Singapore in action so far as of 1pm:  

Triathlon

In the women’s duathlon team relay, Louisa Middleditch, Ng Xuan Jie and Rachel Hew crossed the finish line in 1hr 15min 42.40sec to finish second out of six teams and take silver. 

In the mixed duathlon team relay, Ahmad Arif, Benjamin Khoo, Louisa Middleditch and Rachel Hew finished in 1:36:47.430 to take a bronze medal. 


Archery

Archers took in another medal at the Games, with Ellie Low, Jeannice Low and Madeleine Ong in action in the women’s compound team final.

They were beaten narrowly 228-227 by Indonesia, taking a silver medal. 

Open Water Swimming

Singapore's start in the open water swimming programme began with a silver and a bronze. 

In the women's 10km, Chantal Liew finished in 2:06.35 to take silver.

In the men's 10km, Artyom Lukasevits's time of 1:56.41 put him third for bronze.

Short-track Speed Skating

Short-track speed skaters took their first medal of these SEA Games in the mixed relay event.

Brandon Pok, Ryo Ong, Chloe Luai and Alyssa Pok finished in 2min 58.60sec, finishing third for bronze. 

Kabaddi

Singapore's women's team took a bronze medal in the three stars event. This is the first time Team Singapore are fielding kabaddi athletes at the SEA Games, claiming five bronzes overall. 

Hockey

Singapore's men's field hockey team were beaten 12-2 by Malaysia in the semi-finals, taking a joint bronze for their effort.
