    GetActive! Singapore (GASG) 2025 is an exhilarating annual celebration of Singapore's National Day through sport, happening from from 26 July to 23 August 2025.

    As a volunteer with Team Nila, you will play a pivotal role in fostering unity and pride as we bring together people from all walks of life to participate in various sporting events, like the Pesta Sukan sport competitions. 

    Such collaborations will offer more sport try-outs, competitions, performances, and activities suitable for all ages and abilities, across selected ActiveSG Sport Centres and the Singapore Sports Hub, amongst other locations. The increased sport offerings will allow more people to participate in the festivities as the nation celebrates Singapore’s 60 years of independence through sport and active play.

    Join us to create unforgettable moments of camaraderie and celebration, while contributing to the sport eco-system and community. Together, let us make a difference and ignite the Singapore spirit through sport across our nation!

     Various roles include:

    1. Mark Boat Assistant - assist with the preparation of all the equipment on the boat, to assist to lay the mark(s), to monitor the participants' safety on the water, to return all equipment back to the race control each day.
    2. Race Secretariat - monitor the check in and check out for the participants, to assist with the preparation of lunch for the workforce, beach marshal, land support.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Is there an age requirement for volunteers?

    No age requirements. Anyone 5 years or older is welcome to join us in volunteering!

    Will volunteers receive any training?

    Team Nila volunteers are highly encouraged to attend a Team Nila induction before your first volunteering session with us. More details about the induction will be shared after you sign up to be a Team Nila volunteer!

    Do I have to commit for the full duration of the volunteering opportunity?

    Yes, volunteers should commit for the full duration. Do sign up for opportunities that you can commit fully to.

    In the case of unexpected circumstances or emergencies and a volunteer needs to leave early on the day, kindly inform one of the volunteer leaders or Team Nila staff present.

     

    If I'm not a Singaporean Citizen, can I volunteer with Team Nila?

    All people, local or international, are welcome to join us in volunteering, regardless of citizenship status.
