A: I wanted additional external trainings to build my hockey skills, on top of school CCA trainings.
Q: Favourite Coach?
A: Coach Reynard. He has been teaching me hockey since I’ve been in external training. He always come up with fun games to do during hockey practice while still improving our skills.
Q: What other sport do you play? (besides Hockey)
A: Badminton, Volleyball, Soccer, Swimming

Q: Best takeaway from ActiveSG Hockey Academy?
A: Timea and Mahimah – very glad to meet and make 2 good friends through the AHA Hockey programme. We still keep in touch till today! 😊
Q: Favourite time of the year?
A: 23 September – it’s a special day in my life for me as I scored my first goal for my school during the C division competition in 2019.
Q: What are you most excited about for 2021?
A: Playing in full-fledged hockey games/tournament! (Hopefully, the tournaments can resume)
Q: What motivated you to continue hockey?
A: My friends, family and coaches that support me, along with the excitement of playing games.

A: (Pre-COVID) I play soccer on the weekend and a bit of badminton at times.

A: “The coaching process is like a jigsaw puzzle. Every piece of it must be in place in order to get a full picture. Focus on developing an athlete holistically.”
Q: Something that I advocate to all my students …
A: Talent can bring you to a certain level in life, but upholding the right values will see you well through life.
Q: What’s your vision for AAC?
A: (1) To grow the sport, (2) To further the cause of Athletics in Singapore
Q: Most memorable sporting/coaching moment so far?
A: I have had many memorable sporting/coaching moments, but the most memorable one would be when I was appointed the coach to the 2012 London Olympics.
Q: What’s your favourite quote?
A: “Whatever you are, be a good one.” - Abraham Lincoln
Q: What are you most excited about for 2021?
A: I will be most thrilled if we can eradicate COVID-19 and kickstart many of the major sporting events worldwide in 2021. We are all a deprived and hungry bunch for exciting sports action.

A: Winning the COE U15 tournament as a school
Q: What is your exercise routine?
A: Aside from normal daily push-ups and sit-ups, I try to cycle at least 80-100 km per week on the trails.
Q: What are you most excited about for 2021?
A: I guess it’s for everyone to be able to enjoy football back as it was, playing with your teammates and friends

A: Trust the program and coach, and let the kids enjoy and express themselves.
