We may not be expecting life to be absolutely back to normal anytime soon, but it doesnt mean we cannot enjoy activities, sport and the great outdoors adhering to guidelines for our health and well-being, no doubt.
*Stay tuned to this page for Resumption Of Sport And Physical Exercise & Activity.
If you have yet to make plans for your kids for the approaching March school holidays (and beyond), check out what are on our radar!
1 | Action for the whole family
Sentosa remains a favourite haunt for its host of activities and sights (not to mention the possibility of a weekend staycay!). We are eyeing Singapores first floating aqua park Hydrodash, bouncing, climbing, jumping or zipping at Mega Adventure Park and experiencing Skyline Luge Sentosa by day and night.
If indoor fun is more your familys thing, Airzone the worlds first indoor atrium net playground - and NERF ActionXperience are no less exciting.
2 | Camps
Newtonshow caught our eye when looking for March school holiday programmes - the good news is, they not only have Easter activities, their Summer camp schedule is already out! An international science camp that started in 2011 in Europe, the team has since ventured into Singapore back in December 2016. We like how they emphasize on learning in a fun way, kids-friendly (and sanitised!) facilities, and support for parents.
Singapore Science Centre is a regular destination parents can check out too. Similarly, their calendar is out for the rest of the year, with themes ranging from chemistry, engineering to video gaming.
If you are looking for something that allows your kids to sweat it out, Kids Camp Singapore could be your thing. Centred around sport and art, your children will be engaged in archery, football, obstacle run, rugby, treasure hunts, obstacle runs, and more.

There are more offered by ActiveSG! If you are a Singaporean or Permanent Resident, sign up for the ActiveSG membership and make good use of your ActiveSG dollars to offset the payment (up to 30%) for their programmes!
3 | For parents and children to sweat it out together
Other than keeping your kids occupied out of school, the school hols can also be a gentle reminder for parents to get some much needed exercise. Whats more, you get to create lovely memories together with your kids, over an activity you both love or even to try something new.
The Active Parents School Holiday Programme presents a suite of parent-child sport offerings, from athletics, basketball, canoeing, football, hockey to tennis. The key differentiation from the other programmes is the special design and delibery, to promise sporty fun while creating opportunities for you to guide and encourage your child during play. As wed seen it, teaming up with your child to help him/her score a goal after learning the drills together is one of the best takeaways.
Registration usually opens at least a month before each school holiday (to overwhelming response!), so even if you are not in time for this Marchs, do look out for the next series on Active Parents Facebook.
4 | For kids to sharpen fundamental movement skills and grow a love for sport
If you are looking for an avenue to improve your kids movement skills, or encouraging your child to pursue his or her interest in a particular sport, do consider the ActiveSG Academies and Clubs here. Besides school holiday offerings, there are seasonal programmes four times annually, each lasting 10 weeks.
Fun is definitely the key here, with not only a wide range of high quality programmes including gymnastics, martial arts and water polo, just to name a few - but also a holistic perspective to inculcate our kids with important values such as discipline, perseverance and teamwork.
5 | For all other ActiveSG offerings at its islandwide sport centres
If we may say it ourselves, ActiveSG boasts an impressive line-up of activities at all the sport centres near you check it out here. Some of the options that caught our eye include aeromodelling, archery, bootcamp, Nerf shootout, and even urban farming. There is something for every age group and many of these activities are open to both parents and kids to enjoy together.

With so many options for different age groups and fitness levels some for both parent and child we foresee you may be pursuing these even beyond the week-long school holidays.
More activity ideas, both for outdoor and indoor play, can be found here.
