SEA Games 2025: Day 4 mid-day update

It is Day 4 of the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand.
Here’s a snapshot of Team Singapore in action so far as of 2pm:
Shooting
Air rifle shooters were in action at the range at the Sports Authority of Thailand. In the 10m air rifle, Gan Xin Chen, Ho Xiu Yi and Martina Lindsay Amos combined to take a bronze medal in the women’s team event.
The finish is a combination of their individual scores in the qualification rounds.
Gan, a SEA Games debutante, shot a 625.4 to finish fifth out of 21 athletes to qualify for the final.
She eventually finished fourth with a score of 206.1.

Ju-jitsu
Singapore’s ju-jitsu exponents were in action in the mixed team semi-finals against host nation Thailand, but were beaten 34-11.
They were awarded a joint bronze for their effort.

Beach volleyball

Over at the Jomtien Beach in Chonburi, Singapore’s beach volleyball players were beaten 2-0 by Malaysia in a preliminary group tie.
Renfred Eng and Ranjiv Sasikumar were first beaten 21-16, 21-17, before Daniel Soon and Lucas Gan lost their match 21-14, 21-10.
Singapore’s men next play Thailand on Dec 15.

Wushu
Wushu competition also got underway in Bangkok on Dec 13.
In the men’s changquan-daoshu-gunshu event, Ong Zi Meng scored a 9.753 in the changquan to stand third out of 11 athletes so far.

Jowen Lim’s score of 9.560 places him seventh out of 11 currently.
The event will continue in the afternoon with the daoshu component.
In the women’s taijiquan-taijijian, Zeanne Law scored 9.740 in the taijiquan and sits fourth out of 11 athletes.

Teammate Vera Tan is sixth after scoring 9.733.
They will continue with the taijijian component on Dec 14.
