SEA Games 2025: Day 6 mid-day update

It is Day 6 of the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand. 

Here’s a snapshot of Team Singapore in action so far as of 1pm:  


Wushu

On the final day of wushu competition, the sport won two silvers and three bronzes. 

Randall Lim competed in the men’s taolu nanquan-nandao-nangun event, finishing second out of 11 athletes and taking the silver medal.

In the women’s taolu-nanquan-nandao-nangun event, Kassandra Ong took a bronze medal.

Le Yin Shuen was third in the women’s changquan-jianshu-qiangshu event to also take a bronze medal.

In the men’s taolu taijiquan-taijijian, Tay Yu Xuan finished second out of 13 exponents to take silver. Team-mate Chan Jun Kai was third with bronze.

The sport finishes its campaign with two silvers and four bronzes, including Siti Khadijah’s bronze in the women’s sanda 60kg event. 

Water Polo

The men’s water polo team began their campaign on a winning note.

Singapore beat Malaysia 23-8 in a round-robin match, and will next meet host nation Thailand on Dec 16 at 11am Bangkok time. 


Wakeboard

Singapore’s Tara Lim and Isabella Tan were in action in the wakeboarding open ladies’ last chance qualification.

Lim scored 59.67 in her run and Tan posted a 50, with both qualifying for the final.

In the men's Open Men event, Clarence Batchelor also qualified for the final. 

Archery 

Archers were in action in the compound event round of 16.

Madeleine Ong booked a spot in the women’s compound final after getting through opponents from Thailand and the Philippines in the round of 16, quarter-final and semi-final.

She will compete in the final on Dec 18 at 2pm Bangkok time. Meanwhile, the Women’s Compound team advanced to the final after defeating Thailand 228-225. They will be up against Indonesia on 18 December, at 10am Bangkok time.
