We will be inviting 2024 Paris Olympic Silver Medalist Diana Svertsov to join us for the Dec Camp and Masterclass.
This year our December training camp will be conducted over 2 weeks outside of the competitive period. We will be inviting 2024 Paris Olympic Silver Medalist Diana Svertsov to join us for the Dec Camp and Masterclass from the 9 - 14 Dec.
The goal of this camp will be to emphasise learning the correct technique.
With Diana facilitating the camp, it will be an extraordinary olympic level experience.
She will be sharing her stories from the 2024 Paris Olympic Games to inspire both new and experienced gymnasts. She will also be bringing her olympic medal for them to see as well. It's going to be a rare opportunity. Everyone is strongly advised to join us for this fun and educational camp.
The curriculum for the camp will include the following:
1. There will be a lot of strength and conditioning as this is a loading period just before the vacation.
2. Ballet and proper stretching techniques.
3. They will be learning new dancing steps with different apparatus under different music choices.
4. They will learn to improvise and create their own small routine through fun to intrigue creativity.
Coach Bianka will be recapping the training program consisting of the following:
1. Specific RG warm up.
2. Basic technique of the 4 apparatus.
3. Barre (toning the body and weight lifting exercise) preparation.
4. Specific RG preparation for body difficulty.
5. Coordination with the different apparatus.
6. Strength and conditioning.
7. Working on the artistic aspect for the new code of point.
8. Creating a character and
9. Building specific dance and physical literacy to express different emotions through the dancing steps.
There will also be 2 educational talks.
The first talk will focus on Competition.
1. How the scores are formed.
2. What are the common mistakes in the competition?
3. There will be an informative session about how the gymnast will need to react when they are on the carpet and the music is not correct
4. When they make a mistake on or out of the carpet, what they will need to do?
The second talk will focus on Nutrition.
What and how they will need to eat before and after the training in order to be healthy, happy and strong during the training. This short talk will mainly be for the Elite and High Performance competitive gymnast.
