Yan Kit, a Pool of Memories (Sport Heritage Guided Tours)
A Free Public Heritage Tour organised by Sport Singapore
Yan Kit Swimming Pool was where many aquatic talents were groomed and the memories of it now live on through the newly opened Yan Kit Pool Heritage Gallery.
The memories of 'Yan Kit' and the area around do go much further back. Take a walk back in time with Jerome Lim, the co-author of “Memories of Yan Kit Pool” booklet and Secret Singapore, over crests on which stately homes once perched, through streets whose names tell quite a few tales, and to sites with an intriguing sporting past. You could be surprised by what you may discover about the area around Yan Kit Road. This is a free public heritage tour organised by Sport Singapore.
