The closing ceremony at the Rajamangala Stadium celebrated the discipline, courage and resilience of the athletes who competed in the 50 sports featured at the Games. Lively musical acts by Thai artistes and over 100 performers paid tribute to the host city’s warmth and energy while highlighting the friendship and unity forged through competition at these Games.
Spectators were also invited to play a part in extinguishing the Games flame by blowing whistles in unison. The SEA Games Federation flag was then handed over to Malaysia, the host of the next edition in 2027.
