The maintenance of existing facilities is an important aspect of sports infrastructure. This behind the scenes role requires one to commit in a physical capacity, regardless of deployment.

Eng Soon, Deputy Chief of ActiveSG, handles the sport centres' operations. His responsibilities include overseeing operations and programming of ActiveSG, budgeting and handling logistics. He is also the driving force behind GetActive! Singapore, handling the competition component of the festival comprising the Pesta Sukan and other community challenges.
