Taekwondo

Taekwondo is a Korean form of martial arts characterized by punching and kicking techniques, with emphasis on head-height kicks, spinning jump kicks, and fast kicking techniques. The name is derived from the Korean words "tae", meaning kick, "kwon" punch and "do", the art of or way of.
Taekwondo was developed as a sport that is also representative of moral code, where principles of courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit form a significant part of taekwondo training.
