Overview

To celebrate World Car-Free Day, MOVE&JOY launches Car Free Game – a nationwide sustainability challenge - that encourages Singaporeans to go car-free, embrace active mobility and collectively avoid 60 tonnes of CO2 emissions this SG60 .

Participants can log their walk, run, cycle, skate, or scoot trips via MOVE&JOY app to qualify for a chance to win S$1,888 in a Squid Game inspired ‘battle-royale’ finale event.

Why it matters

Land transport makes up around 15% of Singapore’s total emissions. With our vehicle population surpassing one million and the average car chalking up over 17,500km per year, climate-friendly mobility can play a part in lowering land transport emissions and air pollution.

How It Works

1.     Sign up for free at www.carfreegame.com from 9 August to 25 October

2.     Record ‘car-free’ trips on MOVE&JOY (free download at Apple & Google Play app stores)

3.     First 400 players who record 60 km of car-free trips qualify for Grand Final

4.     56 wildcards awarded via ballot on October 26 (Record at least 35 km to qualify for ballot)

5.     456 finalists battle across 6 challenges on 8 November.

6.     Last person standing wins S$1,888. Other attractive prizes for players and spectators
