Get Into Rugby 2.0 - Introduction to T1 Rugby

This beginner-friendly programme introduces players to non-contact rugby through a safe and structured pathway

The June Holiday Rugby Programme – Get Into Rugby 2.0 (Introduction to T1 Rugby) is a fun, engaging, and structured three-day camp designed to introduce young players to the fundamentals of non-contact rugby in a safe and supportive environment. Organised by Singapore Rugby Union, the programme caters to boys and girls across multiple age groups, from U9 to U16.

Participants will learn core rugby skills such as passing, catching, evasion, and basic game understanding through a mix of skill-based drills and enjoyable game scenarios. The sessions are carefully designed to ensure progressive development, allowing players to build confidence while improving their physical literacy and teamwork.

A key highlight of the programme is the festival-style matches on Day 3, where participants apply what they have learned in a fun and game-based setting. This provides a meaningful introduction to match play while reinforcing the values of teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship.

With an emphasis on Learn • Train • Play, the programme ensures a positive first experience in rugby, guided by qualified coaches in a safe and inclusive environment.
