Learn more about weight-cutting practices in sport through this workshop
This workshop will provide coaches with a practical and evidence-based overview of weight cutting practices in competitive sport, covering the physiological risks, ethical considerations, and current best-practice guidelines for managing athlete body weight around competition. We will explore how to develop a safe and individualised weight management plan that protects athlete health while supporting performance goals. Coaches will leave with actionable strategies for monitoring, communicating and periodising weight management across a training and competition cycle.
